Woodland Dunes Nature Center: Phragmites Control: Woodland Dunes Nature Center and Preserve proposes to implement the Woodland Dunes/West Twin River and East Twin River Shoreline Management Plan for Phragmites 2014-2018. The project elements and deliverables are specified in the Woodland Dunes Aquatic Invasive Species grant application dated January 23, 2014. The project includes: conducting pre and post treatment surveys, treating source populations of phragmites along the river shorelines up to the first dam in addition to the preserve itself; cutting dead canes; handpulling: planting native species; conducting watercraft inspections: participating in Project RED and other educational activities; and providing annual summary reports and a final report of all grant related activities.

Tri-Lakes Assn.: Lmi-East Alaska Lake Alum Treatment: Tri-Lakes Association,Inc. will conduct an alum treatment on East AlaskaLake in Kewaunee County and monitor water quality. Specifically, Tri-Lakes Association will contract with a chemical applicator to apply alum following their approved alum treatment plan, provide public notice of the treatment specifying treatment date, monitor water quality on East Alaska Lake pre, during, and post treatment and complete a report comparing water quality pre and post treatment. English Lake Management District: Lmi-English Lake Management District Wetland Detention Basin: English Lake Management District proposes to construct a wetland detention basin east of English Lake to treat agricultural runoff from a nearby barnyard/feedlot and cropland. The wetland basin will be built from an approved design to maximize sediment and nutrient removal efficiency. The project activities include site preparation and construction of an approximately 300 foot long dike that will create a detention basin that will result in a wetland about 1.2 acres in surface. The rock spillway and complete approved planting of wetland and aquatic vegetation are also included in this project.

English Lake Management District: Lmi-Df-English Lake Drain Tile Diversion Df Study: The English Lake Management District proposes to conduct a diagnostic/feasibility study on drain tile diversion. The project will consist of a site topographic survey; surface, ground and lake water monitoring; drain tile investigation; threatened and endangered species review; public education and involvement and a final report. This final report will contain the collected data and review of alternatives identified in prior planning grants; examination of alternatives based on feasibility, cost and benefits; and an implementtion plan will be selected as the best management option and detailed in this report.

English Lake Management District: Lmi-English Lake Se Drain Tile Diversion Project: The English Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District propose to divert a farmland drain tile that currently discharges to English Lake. The drain tile will be re-routed to discharge to a near-by forested wetland, whereby reducing the phosphorus and sediment loading to English Lake. A final report will be provided both in hard copy and electronically.

English Lake Management District: Acq-English Lake "Pluess" Land Aquisition: The English Lake Protection and Rehab District proposes to purchase 9.82 acres of land known as the "Pluess" property. As part of the District's match, they will use proceeds from a bargain sale and the donated value of .33 acre of property known as the "Burns" property.

Manitowoc County: Res-Silver Lake Diversion Project: The Silver Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to complete the diversion of Silver Creek from Silver Lake which will immediately and significantly lower the amount of sediment and organic loading from the creek into the lake and inhibit migration of undesirable fish species into the lake. The project will consist of bank riprap, outlet control structure, peat berm, maintenance, site ground work, design and consultant services and other miscellaneous structures and activities.

Manitowoc County Lakes Assn: Lmi-Silver Lake Restoration Phase 2: The Manitowoc County Lakes Association proposes to complete Phase 2 of the Silver Lake restoration project. This project will significantly reduce the internal nutrient loading contribution to Silver Lake and reclaim a balanced fishery and lake habitat. This will be achieved through 1) complete eradication of the primarily rough fish population using rotenone, 2) alum treatment to inactivate/reduce internal nutrient load for lake sediments, 3) restocking and regulation of the sport fishery, and 4) terrestrial and littoral habitat restoration along 650 feet of shoreline in the county/city park. The main product will be the restoration of Silver Lake. Press releases, newsletters, and presentations will provide information and education to the public.

Progress reports and a final report will be provided to the Department of Natural Resources both in hard copy and electronically.

Kewaunee County Lcd: Wakker Farm Project: Construction and installation of best management practices (BMPs) on the Johannes Wakker farm to abate manure runoff and livestock management issues that directly discharge manure and associated pollutants into Sandy Bay Creek

Kewaunee County: Reckelberg & Kudick Manure Storage: To cost-share installation of manure storage practices in order to eliminate winter spreading of manure in compliance with the Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions of NR 151.08.

Woodland Dunes Nature Center: Twin Rivers Stewardship Group Organization & Development: The Woodland Dunes Nature Center, Inc. proposes to organize, educate, and sustain a citizen volunteer stewardship group for the East and West Twin River watersheds that will set up a program based on Wisconsin\00BFs Water Action Volunteers (WAV) stream monitoring program. The project elements and deliverables will be completed as described in the project proposal submitted to the Department and dated May 1, 2006. Amendment #1: Woodland Dunes Nature Center will assist the City of Two Rivers Stormwater Task Force in development of a comprehensive stormwater public education and outreach program. Woodland Dunes staff will meet with the task force to pritorize education topics and develop or modify existing materials to fit the needs of the Two Rivers community.

Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership Inc.: Lakeshore River Basin Partnership Initiative: The Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership, Inc. (LNRP) proposes to form and strengthen partnerships with and between river protection organizations in the Lakeshore Basin. Specifically, the LNRP plans to collaborate with each river-protection organization and sponsor special events that feature a keynote speaker of some notoriety, develop and publish a quarterly LNRP newsletter, and develop the LNRP website in order to increase its ability to communicate with its constituents. The project elements and deliverables will be completed as described in the project proposal submitted to the Department and dated April 30, 2007.

Woodland Dunes Nature Center: Explore & Restore E. & W. Twin Rivers: Woodland Dunes Nature Center shall supplement and build on previous work by partners to raise public awareness and participation in water stewardship in the East and West Twin Rivers. Specifically, Woodland Dunes will offer educational programs and action projects including WAV trainings, storm drain marking, river and beach clean-up events, guide West Twin River pontoon tours, and river paddles. Woodland Dunes will also coordinate with the City of Two Rivers to provide storm water management education to increase awareness of storm water pollution impacts to the East and West Twin Rivers. Fliers, newsletters, website, and newspaper articles will advertise the events. The project elements and deliverables will be completed as described in the project proposal submitted to the Department and dated April 30, 2012.

Woodland Dunes Nature Center: Planning For Two Rivers Habitat: Woodland Dunes Nature Center and Preserve proposes to improve habitat in the watershed of the East and West Twin Rivers by documenting opportunities for habitat improvements and developing an effective program for reaching, educating, and working with landowners to do so. Specifically, Woodland Dunes will develop a plan for increasing the capacity to improve the riparian areas within the lower reaches of the East and West Twin Rivers. Woodland Dunes will develop a plan for increasing outreach to landowners in the area, offering information on habitat management or restoration including onsite visits and site-specific advice. The project elements and deliverables will be completed as described in the project proposal submitted to the Department and dated May 1, 2013.

Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership Inc.: E&W Twin River Project Priority Program: Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership (LNRP) proposes to build upon past efforts and further develop the newly formed Friends of the Twin Rivers group by 1) providing targeted watershed education and outreach to local community members including directly engaging high school students, 2) expanding the network of student and community volunteers collecting water quality data throughout the watershed at strategic locations following the Water Action Volunteers monitoring protocols, and 3) leading a strategic planning process for the Friends of the Twin Rivers group. LNRP will facilitate at least two community education events, one symposium for high school students, and quarterly community meetings. LNRP will submit a final report summarizing the project to the Department. The project elements and deliverables will be completed as described in the project proposal submitted to the Department and dated December 8, 2014.

Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership Inc.: Friends Of The Twin Rivers Action Plan: Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership (LNRP) is sponsoring a project to continue to support the Friends of the Twin Rivers by engaging area citizens in educational activities in the Twin Rivers watersheds.

Project final deliverables include: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, presentations, newsletters and educational materials provided to the public.

Specific project activities include: 1) Hold beach clean-up event; 2) Host a rain barrel workshop; 3) Host Water Action Volunteer (WAV) training sessions; 4) Host a river clean-up event; 5) Host educational seminars; 6) Host volunteer Restore the Shore Work Day events and write annual reports detailing invasive species found and habitat improvement project ideas in the watersheds.

Special Conditions: 1) Laboratory water quality analysis will not be funded by this grant.

Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership Inc.: Friends Of The Twin Rivers Action Plan: Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership (LNRP) is sponsoring a project to continue to support the Friends of the Twin Rivers by engaging area citizens in educational activities in the Twin Rivers watersheds.

Project final deliverables include: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, presentations, newsletters and educational materials provided to the public.

Specific project activities include: 1) Hold beach clean-up event; 2) Host a rain barrel workshop; 3) Host Water Action Volunteer (WAV) training sessions; 4) Host a river clean-up event; 5) Host educational seminars; 6) Host volunteer Restore the Shore Work Day events and write annual reports detailing invasive species found and habitat improvement project ideas in the watersheds.

Special Conditions: 1) Laboratory water quality analysis will not be funded by this grant.

Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership Inc.: Expanding The Reach Of The Friends Of The Twin Rivers: Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership (LNRP) is sponsoring a project to continue to support the Friends of the Twin Rivers by engaging area citizens in educational activities in the Twin Rivers watersheds.

Project final deliverables include: a final summary report which includes all activities completed during the grant period including all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, presentations, newsletters and educational materials provided to the public and all data entered into the SWIMS databases.

Specific project activities include: 1) Host guided river paddles to build appreciate for, and stewardship of the East and West Twin River watershed; 2) Hold river, trail and beach clean-up events with a special focus on the kayak launch. Information will be shared on social media newsletters and websites; 3) Monitor the East and West Twin River following Water Action Volunteer (WAV) protocols and recruit and train new volunteers to monitor the rivers; 4) Annually review action plan and develop State of the Watershed updates; 5) Plan and co-host at least three public workshops and educational seminars on issues affecting the health of the East and West Twin River watershed.

Woodland Dunes Nature Center: Explore & Restore E. & W. Twin Rivers: Woodland Dunes Nature Center shall supplement and build on previous work by partners to raise public awareness and participation in water stewardship in the East and West Twin Rivers. Specifically, Woodland Dunes will offer educational programs and action projects including WAV trainings, storm drain marking, river and beach clean-up events, guide West Twin River pontoon tours, and river paddles. Woodland Dunes will also coordinate with the City of Two Rivers to provide storm water management education to increase awareness of storm water pollution impacts to the East and West Twin Rivers. Fliers, newsletters, website, and newspaper articles will advertise the events. The project elements and deliverables will be completed as described in the project proposal submitted to the Department and dated April 30, 2012.

Woodland Dunes Nature Center: Planning For Two Rivers Habitat: Woodland Dunes Nature Center and Preserve proposes to improve habitat in the watershed of the East and West Twin Rivers by documenting opportunities for habitat improvements and developing an effective program for reaching, educating, and working with landowners to do so. Specifically, Woodland Dunes will develop a plan for increasing the capacity to improve the riparian areas within the lower reaches of the East and West Twin Rivers. Woodland Dunes will develop a plan for increasing outreach to landowners in the area, offering information on habitat management or restoration including onsite visits and site-specific advice. The project elements and deliverables will be completed as described in the project proposal submitted to the Department and dated May 1, 2013.

Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership Inc.: E&W Twin River Project Priority Program: Lakeshore Natural Resources Partnership (LNRP) proposes to build upon past efforts and further develop the newly formed Friends of the Twin Rivers group by 1) providing targeted watershed education and outreach to local community members including directly engaging high school students, 2) expanding the network of student and community volunteers collecting water quality data throughout the watershed at strategic locations following the Water Action Volunteers monitoring protocols, and 3) leading a strategic planning process for the Friends of the Twin Rivers group. LNRP will facilitate at least two community education events, one symposium for high school students, and quarterly community meetings. LNRP will submit a final report summarizing the project to the Department. The project elements and deliverables will be completed as described in the project proposal submitted to the Department and dated December 8, 2014.
